Whittier is a family owned business that has been manufacturing quality real wood furniture for more than fifty years. Our business has evolved but our commitment to our customers and our dedication to create quality furniture has not changed. Whittier owns and operates two facilities. Our company headquarters, production and distribution center are located in Eugene. Our second production facility is located in Vietnam. Every operation is conducted in-house, giving us complete control over all phases of manufacturing and quality.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Whittier is looking for a full time employee to work in our paint room and bookcase production. The job will be 40 hours a week with occasional overtime. We are hiring for a full time position. We build our bookcases here in Eugene. Whittier receives and sends out shipments on a daily basis. Potential employee must be willing to work in paint room and assembly as needed. Below is key job duties:

• Sand and prepare furniture
• Pull parts
• Assemble and disassemble items as needed
• Paint and stain furniture with paint gun
• Assembly inspection
• Drill and press parts
• Operate pallet jack or forklift
• Packing bookcases
• Help in other areas where needed

REQUIREMENTS

• Able to lift and move parts weighting up to 75 lbs.
• Comfortable working around paint and other chemicals
• Must have basic math skills
• High School degree or equivalent
• English or Spanish speaking
