Paint Technician

D.W. Lift Sales, Inc. is growing rapidly and is searching for experienced candidates for the position of Paint Technician.

PAINT TECHNICIAN

The Paint Technician is responsible for surface preparation and applying paint to repaired vehicles. Duties may include final sanding, masking, color mixing and tinting, spray booth operations, operate prep stations, applying primers, sealers, color, and clear coats. You will be working with potentially hazardous materials so attention to safety and personal protection are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely prepare, paint, and detail the equipment and trucks under minimal supervision to include unit disassembly and reassembly.
• Ensure finished product is of the highest standard.
• Properly maintain shop booth, equipment, and tools.
• Comply with paint shop standard work practices.
• Comply with safety procedures and address unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of experience in paint processes.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years of experience in paint processes to repair/restore equipment, truck bodies, or car bodies.
• Experience using advanced paint processes and products.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work all first shift hours (8am-5pm) Monday through Friday, overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Physical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy materials, climb ladders, or work in small and cramped spaces.
• Dexterity to paint detailed or small objects requires a steady hand and good hand-eye coordination.
• Organization skills to ensure that repairs are completed timely meeting or exceeding production plan deadline(s) and work area and supplies are kept tidy and properly stored.
• Attention to detail to notice the smallest scratches and/or imperfections.
• Customer-service skills to be good a listening, understanding and communicating with paying customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 8 hour shift, minimum 40 hours per week
