Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our historic property through high-quality painting and decorating work. Your expertise will contribute to preserving the elegance of our venue while ensuring a welcoming environment for our guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling cracks or holes to ensure smooth finishes.
• Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care.
• Follow detailed instructions to match colors, textures, and styles suitable for historic and modern areas.
• Use appropriate tools and techniques to achieve high-quality results efficiently.
• Maintain safety standards by handling materials responsibly and using protective equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to coordinate decorating projects around guest services or events.
• Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency during projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction painting, decorating, or related trades.
• Strong communication skills in English to understand instructions and collaborate effectively.
• Valid driving license preferred for transportation between sites or materials supply.
• Knowledge of safe working practices with paints, chemicals, and decorating tools.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £31,500.00-£32,000.00 per year
