Painter

Job Summary

The Painter is responsible for surface preparation and the application of industrial coatings, including primer, intermediate coat and topcoat. The role requires 1–2 years of painting experience, with knowledge of painting techniques and coating systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Basic understanding of industrial coatings.
• Read and follow work instructions and paint specifications.
• Prepare the steel surface by cleaning, sanding, grinding, or blasting as required.
• Apply primer, intermediate coat, and topcoat using airless spray, spray guns, rollers, or brushes.
• Mix paint according to the manufacturer's specifications.
• Ensure correct paint thickness and finish quality.
• Meet daily production schedules.
• Measure Dry Film Thickness (DFT) using coating gauges.
• Follow safe work procedures and handle paint materials properly.
• Comply with environmental and waste disposal procedures.
• Follow work instructions and directions given by the supervisor.

Requirements :

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant painting experience.
• Experience in industrial painting or coating work.
• Basic knowledge of industrial coating systems.
• Able to use spray guns, rollers, and brushes.
• Knowledge of surface preparation and paint application.
• Basic understanding of paint thickness and DFT measurement.
• Good attention to detail and quality.
• Able to follow safety and environmental procedures.
• Physically fit and able to work in an industrial environment.
• Responsible, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team.
