If all goes great will lead to working through winter and securing stable employment.We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through precise painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing work. Your expertise will help enhance the aesthetic appeal and durability of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless spray painting), and other hand or power tools with precision and consistency
• Perform surface repairs such as drywall patching, plastering, masonry touch-ups, and stucco application for seamless finishes
• Conduct surface testing for proper coating adherence and color matching through visual color comparison and color theory knowledge
• Follow safety regulations diligently by using appropriate respiratory protection, harnesses when working at heights with ladders or scaffolding, and adhering to all safety protocols
• Complete construction estimating tasks related to paint quantities and surface preparation materials for project planning
• Assist with renovation projects by installing fixtures, trim carpentry, caulking, and performing general handyman tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste disposal of paints and chemicals while ensuring compliance with environmental standards

Skills

• Extensive experience in residential painting, commercial painting, industrial coating applications, and restoration work
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), airless paint spraying equipment, and drywall finishing tools
• Strong knowledge of construction site experience including interpreting technical drawings and blueprint reading
• Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as sanding, cleaning, plastering, masonry work, stucco application, and concrete finishing
• Ability to perform construction estimating related to paint quantities and surface prep materials accurately
• Familiarity with safety regulations specific to construction painting environments including respiratory protection protocols
• Knowledge of color theory for accurate color matching and visual consistency across projects
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to coatings coverage, and project estimations
• Experience with fixture installation, remodeling tasks, maintenance work, and basic handyman skills enhances versatility in project execution

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32.0 per week
