Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure surfaces are protected and durable. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, scraping, cleaning, and surface repairs such as drywall patching or plastering to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface specifications to determine appropriate painting methods and materials.
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including conventional and construction spray painting), and other hand or power tools with precision.
• Perform surface coating tasks on various materials including stucco, masonry, drywall, and metal structures for both renovation and new construction projects.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed at all times by wearing respiratory protection, using proper ladder techniques, and adhering to safety protocols during all phases of painting work.
• Conduct surface preparation for construction painting projects by cleaning surfaces, removing old coatings, caulking gaps, and applying primers as needed.
• Assist with fixture installation or minor handyman tasks related to remodeling or maintenance projects when required.

Skills

• Extensive experience in residential painting with knowledge of color theory for achieving desired aesthetic effects.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including industrial spray equipment), brushes, rollers, and other application methods.
• Knowledge of safety regulations including respiratory protection use and adherence to safety protocols on construction sites.
• Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as drywall finishing, plastering, caulking, stucco application, and masonry work.
• Familiarity with industrial painting practices including coating applications on large structures or machinery.
• Experience working on construction sites with a focus on renovation or remodeling projects involving drywall repair or fixture installation.

Hourly pay starts at $20/hour and is based on experience. Opportunities for pay increases and/or bonuses for potential project leads.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
