Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces on construction sites, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces thoroughly through cleaning, sanding, plastering, drywall finishing, caulking, and surface priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and durability.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine appropriate painting methods and materials for each project.
• Apply paint using various techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (conventional and construction spray), and the use of paint sprayers for efficient coverage.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely to facilitate surface preparation, fixture installation, or minor repairs as needed during projects.
• Select appropriate coatings based on surface type, environmental conditions, and project requirements; incorporate color theory principles for aesthetic consistency.
• Follow all safety regulations by wearing respiratory protection, using ladders properly, and adhering to safety protocols during all phases of work.
• Maintain a clean work environment by managing debris, properly storing materials, and ensuring tools are well-maintained for optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members and interpret technical drawings or blueprints to ensure precise execution of painting tasks on residential or commercial sites.
• Assist with renovation projects by performing drywall repairs, plastering, caulking, fixture installation, or basic handyman tasks as required.
• Contribute to ongoing maintenance efforts by performing touch-ups and surface refinishing in existing structures.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects.
• Strong understanding of color theory for achieving desired visual effects.
• Proven experience in residential and commercial construction painting environments.
• Proficiency in ladder use and working at heights safely on construction sites.
• Skilled in surface preparation techniques including drywall finishing and plastering.
• Experience operating hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), and other relevant equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans accurately.
• Knowledge of safety regulations specific to construction painting environments; committed to following safety protocol adherence at all times.
• Familiarity with construction site experience including renovation projects and remodeling tasks.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating quantities or surface areas.
• Understanding of coating types suitable for different surfaces such as drywall or structural elements.
• Ability to perform visual color comparison for consistent color matching across surfaces.
• Experience with fixture installation or handyman tasks as part of comprehensive maintenance efforts.
