Responsibilities

YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PASS A DRUG/ALCOHOL SCREENING

• Prepare surfaces thoroughly through cleaning, sanding, caulking, drywall repair, plastering, and other surface preparation techniques to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Interpret technical drawings and project specifications to determine appropriate materials and application methods for each job.
• Apply paint using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting with conventional or airless paint sprayers, and construction spray painting techniques.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment safely and effectively to reach high or difficult areas.
• Perform structural painting tasks such as stucco application, masonry coating, concrete finishing, and restoration projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocol guidelines at all times.
• Conduct visual color comparisons and select appropriate coatings based on color theory principles for aesthetic consistency.
• Assist in fixture installation, remodeling projects, maintenance tasks, and other handyman responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation and coating techniques.
• Knowledge of residential painting practices along with commercial and industrial painting applications.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding equipment.
• Understanding of safety regulations related to construction sites including respiratory protection protocols.
• Experience with drywall installation and repair, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco work, masonry finishing, plastering, renovation projects, and fixture installation is highly desirable.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface area and material quantities.
• Strong attention to detail with an eye for visual color matching using color theory principles.
• Ability to work effectively at heights using ladders or scaffolding while maintaining safety standards.
• Prior experience on construction sites involving framing carpentry, remodeling, maintenance tasks or handyman work is advantageous.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
