Painter

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality craftsmanship. Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, and sprayers including airless paint spraying equipment.
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and color schemes based on color theory principles.
• Perform surface repairs including plastering, caulking, stucco application, and restoration work to ensure smooth finishes.
• Execute construction painting tasks on various structures such as walls, ceilings, trim carpentry, framing, masonry, and concrete finishing.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools safely for preparation and application processes; operate welding equipment when necessary for industrial projects.
• Install fixtures and perform renovation tasks including drywall installation, fixture installation, and remodeling projects.
• Conduct maintenance on tools and equipment; ensure all safety protocols are followed at construction sites.
• Collaborate with carpenters, masons, handyman teams, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and quality standards.

Experience

• Proven experience in residential painting with knowledge of color theory and surface preparation techniques.
• Hands-on experience with commercial painting projects involving large-scale surfaces and industrial painting applications.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes to assess project scope and material needs.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, plastering tools, masonry trowels, and power tools including airless sprayers.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately for precise execution of work.
• Experience working on construction sites with understanding of safety regulations and protocols.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to paint quantities and surface areas.
