Painter Crew Leader

We are Garcia Paining, a residential painting company in Iowa City built on reputation and repeat business. We do not chase volume. We chase quality. Every job we take on, we intend to deliver a 5-star experience -- and we need a Crew Leader who feels the same way.

WHAT THIS ROLE ACTUALLY IS

You will run your own jobs from start to finish. You will be on the tools and making sure the job is running at a good pace. You show up first, set the tone, look after your crew, and deliver a result the client brags about to their neighbors. You own the job open, the daily updates, the close, and the payment -- from Day 1.

You will lead a crew of 1-2 painters. You are not babysitting them -- you are building them. You hold the standard, you set the pace, and when something goes sideways on site, you handle it before it becomes anyone else's problem.

WHAT YOU WILL EARN

Base pay: $23--$30 per hour, based on experience.

Budget bonus: When your job comes in under the estimated hours without cutting corners, you earn a share of those savings. Run tight, efficient jobs -- earn more.

5-star review bonus: $20 every time a client you served leaves a verified Google review.

Referral bonus: $50 for every qualified lead you generate from a job site.

A top performer in this role takes home well above base. That is by design.

WHO THIS IS FOR

You have at least 2 years of painting experience. You have run a crew -- even informally. You communicate well with clients and you do not panic when something goes wrong on site. You are reliable. You show up on time, every time, without being chased. You take ownership of your results.

WHO THIS IS NOT FOR

If you need constant direction, if clients make you uncomfortable, or if your idea of a good day is keeping your head down and doing the minimum -- this role will not work for you. We are not a fit for everyone, and we are okay with that.
