Painter - Day Shift

Job Purpose:

Big Motoring World Group is an expanding car supermarket group that is going from strength to strength and is looking to employ a Painter at our Preparation Centre Site in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast and progressive moving group as well as working alongside experienced technicians to help and support and your career development. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a self-motivating attitude, with an eye for detail and able to work as part of a team within a busy, fast-moving environment.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 3:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure vehicles are prepared and masked to the highest standards ready for paint application.
• Spray painting of the vehicles using water based and solvent paints.
• Identify best repair methods and communicate with preppers/ maskers to highlight any issues.
• Knowledge and ability to perform different paint applications, IR, 3 stage pearls, tinted lacquer, etc
• Ensure company equipment is maintained.
• To ensure daily checks are being carried out.
• Responsible for ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
• Complete EPR logs to ensure daily checks are being carried out.
• Ensure all PPE is worn at all times.
• Any ad hoc duties on request.

Essential:

• Previous automotive painting experience.
• Previous experience of fast paced body shop.
• Driving licence required.

Hold a Full UK Driving Licence - Any job offer that requires driving company vehicles is subject to a DVLA check, and applicants with six or more penalty points or a previous disqualification may not meet our insurance requirements and therefore may not be eligible for employment.
