PAINTER (ESSENSA)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join the Essensa team at Polystar General Services Inc. This is a full-time position based in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila. As a Painter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our retail and consumer products spaces, ensuring that all painted surfaces meet our high standards of quality and finish. This position is essential to creating welcoming environments that reflect our brand's commitment to excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming walls, woodwork, and other materials to ensure optimal paint adhesion
• Apply paint, varnish, lacquer, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other appropriate tools
• Mix paint colours and ensure consistency in application across all designated areas
• Inspect painted surfaces to verify quality, coverage, and adherence to specifications and standards
• Maintain and clean all painting tools and equipment, ensuring they remain in good working condition
• Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately at all times
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on schedule and within budget
• Identify and address surface defects or imperfections, making corrections as needed
• Maintain accurate records of materials used and time spent on specific projects

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar painting role, preferably in retail or commercial environments
• Proficiency with various painting techniques and tools, including spray equipment, rollers, and brushes
• Knowledge of different paint types, finishes, and surface preparation methods
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
• Physical stamina and ability to work at heights and in various positions for extended periods
• Excellent time management and ability to work efficiently to meet project deadlines
• Safety consciousness with a thorough understanding of workplace safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards colleagues and supervisors
• Relevant certifications or training in painting or surface preparation are preferred
