We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter Helper to join our dynamic painting team. Duties

• Assist with surface preparation including sanding, scraping, caulking, and drywall repair to ensure optimal paint adhesion
• Mix paints and coatings accurately according to project specifications and color requirements using hand tools and power tools
• Support the application of paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying and conventional spray painting techniques) on diverse surfaces such as walls, ceilings, trim, and fixtures
• Prepare construction sites by setting up ladders safely and handling scaffolding or other equipment needed for elevated work
• Follow safety regulations rigorously by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocols during all tasks
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or surface specifications to assist in precise painting applications and renovations
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials properly

Requirements

• Prior experience in construction site work or renovation projects is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
• Basic knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings is advantageous
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and other painting equipment
• Ability to work at heights using ladders safely and efficiently while following safety regulations
• Understanding of surface preparation techniques such as plastering, drywall installation, caulking, and masonry work
• Knowledge of coating types for industrial or commercial applications and basic math skills for measurements and mixing ratios
• Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence with an emphasis on respiratory protection during spray painting tasks
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively within a team

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
