Painter/Decorator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter/Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting or decorating.
• Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and within specified deadlines.
• Protect surrounding areas by covering floors, furniture, and fixtures during painting tasks.
• Mix paints and colours accurately according to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements.
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during work activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is preferred.
• Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between sites.
• Good command of English language for clear communication with clients and colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to painting and decorating tasks.

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
