About Us & The Role

Acadia Painting provides high-quality residential and commercial painting services throughout the Ellsworth and Mount Desert Island areas.

We're looking for Painters to join our growing team. We're open to a range of skill levels, from developing painters looking to continue building their experience to highly skilled painters who can work independently and take ownership of their work.

Our goal is to find good people who take pride in their work, work well with a crew, and want the opportunity to keep growing.

What We're Looking For

Our Painters work on residential and commercial projects, completing interior and exterior painting from preparation through the finished product.

Depending on your experience, this may include:

• Interior and exterior painting
• Surface preparation including sanding, scraping, patching, caulking, masking, and cleaning
• Applying primers, paints, stains, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
• Drywall repairs, patching, and finish preparation
• Producing clean lines, consistent finishes, and quality results
• Protecting floors, furniture, landscaping, and surrounding surfaces
• Safely working from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and other jobsite equipment
• Working independently and alongside the crew to keep projects moving
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
• Taking pride in your work and the quality of the finished product

You should be dependable, communicate well, have reliable transportation, and be willing to learn and continue developing your skills.

Experience with interior and exterior painting, spraying, surface preparation, specialty finishes, drywall repair, or independently completing painting projects will be considered when determining your starting rate.
