Construction Estimator – Painting & Commercial Cleaning

Sueep is a technology-enabled commercial cleaning, painting, and facilities services company serving commercial properties, property managers, and construction companies throughout the Northeast.
We are growing rapidly and are looking for a Construction Estimator to join our team and help us estimate and bid commercial painting, post-construction cleaning, final cleaning, janitorial, and unit turnover projects.
This is a key role within our growth strategy. You will work directly with our sales and operations teams to evaluate opportunities, quantify scopes, develop accurate pricing, and help Sueep win more profitable work.
What You’ll Do

• Review construction plans, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and RFPs.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for commercial painting and cleaning projects.
• Estimate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project costs.
• Build accurate estimates and proposals based on project scope and site requirements.
• Develop pricing that is both competitive and aligned with Sueep’s target margins.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, assumptions, and potential change-order opportunities.
• Review bid documents and communicate questions or discrepancies before submission.
• Work with sales representatives to determine pricing strategy and bid priorities.
• Coordinate with project managers and operations to ensure estimates are realistic and executable.
• Track submitted bids, awarded projects, lost opportunities, and estimate accuracy.
• Help improve Sueep’s estimating processes, templates, databases, and technology.
• Use estimating software, spreadsheets, and Sueep’s technology platform to increase estimating speed and accuracy.

• Post-construction cleaning
• Final cleaning

• Multifamily unit turnovers
• Common-area cleaning
• Construction-site cleaning

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of construction estimating experience preferred.
• Experience estimating painting, commercial cleaning, general construction, or related trades.
• Strong understanding of construction plans and scopes of work.
• Ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs.
• Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to work on multiple bids simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to understand labor productivity, material costs, and project margins.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with sales and operations.

The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t simply produce a number.
You should be able to look at a project and answer:
What is the actual scope? How much labor will it take? What materials and equipment are required? What could go wrong? What should we charge? And can we execute the project profitably?
Accuracy and speed are both extremely important. Sueep is investing heavily in technology and systems to make our estimating process faster, and this role will help us build that capability at scale.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $61,661.79 - $74,259.35 per year
