About the Role

Jenkins Transport & Logistics Ltd is looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team on a Monday to Friday night shift, working within the pallet network.

This role involves driving a fully loaded vehicle from our depot to the designated pallet network hub. On arrival, you will park up and wait for your allocated reload time before returning to the depot.

Your start time will always be 18:00, providing consistency throughout the working week. However, finish times will vary between approximately 02:00 and 06:00, depending on hub reload times and when your vehicle is released to depart.

This is an ideal opportunity for a driver looking for regular weekday night work, consistent starting times and a competitive weekly rate of pay.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive a fully loaded Class 1 HGV to the designated pallet network hub.
• Arrive safely and park up in accordance with hub procedures.
• Wait for your allocated reload time before commencing the return journey.
• Complete all journeys safely and efficiently, following road traffic legislation and drivers' hours regulations.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Maintain accurate tachograph records and comply with all relevant transport regulations.
• Represent Jenkins Transport & Logistics Ltd professionally at all times.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle care and road safety.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid digital tachograph card.
• Previous HGV driving experience preferred.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
• Comfortable working night shifts and accommodating variable finish times.
• Ability to work independently and follow operational instructions.
