About the role

Holiday Plaza Hotel is seeking an experienced Panday to join our Maintenance & Handyperson Services team. This is a full-time position based in Cebu City, Cebu. As a skilled tradesperson, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing the physical infrastructure of our hotel, ensuring that all facilities remain in optimal working condition for our guests and staff. Your expertise will directly contribute to the safety, comfort and overall quality of the guest experience at Holiday Plaza Hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on hotel facilities, including plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry and general repairs
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests, front desk and housekeeping staff
• Repair and maintain fixtures, equipment and structures throughout the hotel including rooms, common areas, kitchens and exterior areas
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel premises to identify potential issues before they become major problems
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs completed and materials used
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritise work and meet deadlines
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Identify the need for specialised repairs and coordinate with external contractors as required

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a skilled tradesperson or panday with a strong background in maintenance and repair work
• Proficiency in multiple trades including plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs and general handyperson skills
• Knowledge of building systems, safety protocols and proper use of hand and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints and work orders
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour when interacting with guests and staff
• Flexibility to respond to maintenance emergencies and work varying shifts as needed
• A valid trade certification or equivalent hands-on experience is highly desirable
• Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces and perform manual labour
