Panel Builder

ILS Automation is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Electrical Control Panel Builder for our UL508A Panel Shop who can follow a blueprint/schematic to install wires and components inside control panels of various sizes and designs accurately and within a specified time frame to meet customer requirements. Previous experience building control panels is necessary for this position, this is not an entry level position. Qualified candidates can advance quickly with demonstrated experience.

Key responsibilities: includes the following but other duties may be assigned:

• Pull and cut wire to exact lengths needed
• Prepare control panel for wiring by mounting components on backpanel or enclosure
• Cut holes and modify enclosures as needed.
• Perform wiring; running wire to components such as relays, timers, terminal strips, lights, heaters, PLCs, etc.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems
• Operate power and hand tools and any other equipment necessary to accomplish the job
• Read schematics drawings and notes to determine equipment and wiring specification
• Evaluate assembled structure for damages, incorrect design and/or setup, and suggest corrections or improvements
• Keep work areas an shop clean and organized on a daily basis
• Clock in and out of labor collection software
• Attention to detail and pride in work are critical

Other Skills/Certifications Wanted: Must be a team player and willing to perform tasks that may not be in a particular job description, take initiative when appropriate.

Job Requirements: Must be physically able to lift, bend, pull wire from cable reel, measure, cut wire, lift a 50 lb panel, grip tools, and screw in large screws manually. Must be able to follow a wiring diagram/drawing precisely, as well meet time requirements while being accurate.' There may be a small amount of field work, a valid license and clean driving record is preferred.
