Role & responsibilities

Mandatory Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on Mainframe experience with strong expertise in Panvalet Administration.
• Strong knowledge of Panvalet library configuration, library management, member management, and version control/lifecycle management.
• Deep understanding of Panvalet member storage architecture, including member extraction, member attributes, versions, relationships, and dependencies.
• Experience extracting Panvalet members, metadata, and library structures for downstream processing.
• Experience developing or supporting processes to extract Panvalet member information and attributes and generate structured JSON files for consumption by Git-based workflows.
• Strong understanding of z/OS environments, JCL, and mainframe development processes.
• Experience working in USA onsite / India offshore delivery models.

Good-to-Have / Preferred Skills

• Experience with Git/GitHub, DevOps practices, branching strategies, repositories, code migration, and source-code management.
• Working knowledge of IBM Dependency Based Build (DBB) and its integration with Panvalet/Git-based mainframe development pipelines.
• Experience with Jenkins CI/CD, automated builds, deployments, and mainframe DevOps toolchain integration.
• Hands-on knowledge of IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz), Zowe, JCL, COBOL, and z/OS development environments.
• Experience integrating Panvalet with UrbanCode Deploy (UCD) and implementing automated promotion/deployment workflows.
• Understanding of Panvalet-to-Git modernization, API/CLI automation, member extraction, metadata exchange, build-process integration, troubleshooting, and enterprise DevOps integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Panvalet libraries, members, configurations, and version-control processes.
• Manage Panvalet member lifecycle, including creation, modification, versioning, extraction, and migration.
• Analyze Panvalet member metadata, relationships, dependencies, and library structures.
• Support automated extraction of Panvalet members and metadata into structured formats such as JSON.
• Enable integration between Panvalet and Git/GitHub-based source-code management workflows.
• Support mainframe modernization and Panvalet-to-Git migration initiatives.
• Work with DevOps teams to integrate Panvalet with DBB, Jenkins, Zowe, IDz, and UCD where applicable.
• Troubleshoot issues related to member extraction, metadata, versioning, migration, builds, and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with US onsite teams and India offshore teams to support enterprise mainframe development and modernization initiatives.
