About the role

South Island Garment Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Paper Pattern Maker to join our dynamic team in Seberang Perai, Penang. As a full-time position, you will play a crucial role in the development of our state-of-the-art garment manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare and develop paper patterns based on garment designs and specifications.
2. Take and check measurements to ensure pattern accuracy and consistency.
3. Modify and adjust patterns according to fitting requirements and design changes.
4. Create patterns for different garment styles, sizes, and production requirements.
5. Conduct fitting checks and make necessary corrections to improve garment fit.
6. Work closely with the design, sampling, and production teams to resolve pattern-related issues.

About you

• Certificate or diploma in fashion design, or a related field; relevant experience may also be considered
• Preferably at least two years of experience in paper pattern making
• Familiarity with relevant paper pattern making software
• Good coordination, communication, problem-solving, and basic computer skills
• Careful attention to detail and ability to work to production deadlines
