ANTICIPATED: Paraeducator - Behavioral Support

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dependable Paraeducator to support students with behavioral, social-emotional, and learning needs in a school setting.

Responsibilities

● Provide individualized support to students experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges.

● Implement behavior support strategies and individualized student plans.

● Encourage positive behaviors, self-regulation, communication, and independence.

● Assist students with transitions, classroom routines, and academic activities.

● Respond calmly and appropriately to challenging behaviors while maintaining student dignity and safety.

● Track and document behavioral progress as directed by the teaching team.

● Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families.

● Follow school safety, behavioral, and crisis intervention procedures.

Qualifications

● High school diploma or equivalent required.

● Experience working with children or students with behavioral or special education needs preferred.

● Patient, dependable, and able to remain calm in challenging situations.

● Strong communication and teamwork skills.

● Ability to follow individualized behavior plans and maintain confidentiality.

● A genuine interest in helping students develop positive behaviors and succeed in school.

Pay: $20.83 - $27.62 per hour
