Paraeducator-High School

Qualified applicants should possess and/or have experience with the following:

Experience with a diverse population of students within a multicultural school / community
Strong positive, interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students, colleagues and supervisors
Strong ability to work as a member of a professional learning community and multi-disciplinary team including with community based partners (colleges, job sites, etc.)

Flexibility in assignment which may include supporting specialized programs and/or supporting students with IEPs in general education classrooms, special education classrooms, and in the community (which includes but is not limited to: at vocational sites and on college campuses- to support students with working on independent living skills, vocational skills, recreation/leisure skills, and social skills). This position assists in the Student Support Program (SSP) and the ideal candidate will have experience and or interest in helping students with social emotional disabilities.
