Paralegal

Vernis & Bowling is seeking a highly organized, proactive Paralegal with a minimum of 2 years of civil defense experience to join our Pensacola team. We offer a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your case management skills will directly impact our attorneys' success.

What You Will Do:

You will take ownership of the administrative and procedural lifecycle of our civil defense cases. Core responsibilities include:

• Case Management & Filings: Drafting correspondence, pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and notices; managing seamless e-filing and executing the review of e-service and US mail.
• Calendar & Deadline Control: Independently managing deadlines, scheduling, and calendaring court appearances to ensure strict compliance with procedural rules.
• Hearing & Trial Prep: Building hearing binders, preparing exhibits, and executing comprehensive document management. (Note: Direct trial preparation experience is a strong plus).

What You Bring:

• Experience: 2+ years of dedicated civil defense paralegal experience.
• Technical Knowledge: Thorough working knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Execution: The proven ability to prioritize efficiently, multi-task, and maintain absolute accuracy under tight court deadlines.
