Paralegal

Our client, an international law firm is urgently looking for a Paralegal to join their Corporate Team in Hong Kong.

Job Responsibilities:

• Respond to client enquiries to explain the process of forming companies and partnerships, as well as the striking off or liquidation of such entities
• Explain to clients the costs involved in setting up entities and the requirements for maintaining them in good standing, as well as explaining the annual return process
• Prepare formation documents for companies and partnerships and attend to post-formation and filing procedures
• Draft agreements, minutes and documents based on firm precedents as well as preparing documents for legalization and apostille and liaising with our foreign offices and clients to ensure such instructions are supervised and completed on time
• Prepare a variety of documents for submission to the Cayman Registrar, the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, the BVI Companies Registry and the BVI Financial Services Commission
• Liaise with the corporate administration team for all necessary filings/registration with the Cayman and BVI authorities
• Attend to internal administrative work
• Prepare legal opinions (including related director certificates, board and shareholder resolutions)
• Prepare registers of mortgages and charges for both Cayman and BVI companies
• Compile fee breakdowns and cover letters to clients
• Draft some letters/agreements (for example, directors' resignation letters, consent to act as a director)

Job Requirements:

• LLB holder with at leat 1 year experience in corporate within law firms

• With experience in dealing with corporate services is a plus

• Fluent in English and Mandarin is needed
