Paralegal

About the role

Provide legal advice and support on matters related to labor laws, employment, and manpower agency operations. Review, draft, and maintain contracts, service agreements, client agreements, and other legal documents. Ensure compliance with DOLE regulations, labor standards, and other applicable government requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in handling labor-related concerns, employee complaints, administrative cases, and disputes
• Prepare legal documents, notices, memoranda, demand letters, and other legal correspondence as needed
• Coordinate with government agencies, external legal counsel, clients, and other stakeholders regarding legal matters
• Assist in the preparation and review of disciplinary documents, including Notices to Explain, administrative hearing documents, and decisions, when necessary
• Provide guidance to HR and management regarding employee relations, disciplinary actions, termination, and other employment-related concerns
• Monitor updates and changes in labor laws, government regulations, and legal requirements that may affect company operations
• Assist in handling company permits, licenses, accreditations, and compliance-related documentation
• Maintain organized and confidential records of legal documents, cases, contracts, and correspondence
• Conduct legal research and provide recommendations to management based on applicable laws and regulations
• Support management in identifying and minimizing legal and compliance risks

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, Legal Management, Political Science, or any related field
• Juris Doctor or membership in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines is an advantage
• With experience in labor law, employment law, or corporate legal matters
• Experience working with a manpower agency, HR department, or labor-intensive industry is an advantage
• Knowledgeable in Philippine labor laws, DOLE regulations, and employment practices
• Familiar with handling employee relations, disciplinary cases, and labor-related concerns
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented and able to handle confidential and sensitive information
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with different departments and external stakeholders
