Job Overview

We are looking for a Trademark Paralegal with hands-on experience in trademark prosecution, opposition matters, WIPO/Madrid Protocol, drafting, and trademark import & export matters . The candidate should have strong knowledge of Indian trademark procedures and experience supporting domestic and international trademark portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in trademark prosecution matters from filing through registration and post-registration stages.
• Handle and maintain records relating to trademark applications, examination reports, oppositions, counterstatements, hearings and related proceedings .
• Assist in drafting trademark-related documents, responses, notices, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Handle WIPO/Madrid Protocol related matters, including filings, record maintenance, and status tracking.
• Assist with trademark opposition and cancellation/rectification proceedings .
• Conduct and assist with trademark searches, watch services and portfolio management .
• Maintain accurate records of deadlines, hearings, filings, and case status.
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients and relevant authorities regarding filings and procedural requirements.
• Prepare reports, case status updates, and other IP-related documentation.
• Ensure timely follow-up on prosecution and opposition matters and maintain proper documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–8 years of relevant experience as a Trademark/IP Paralegal, preferably with an IP law firm.
• Strong practical experience in Trademark Prosecution and Opposition.
• Experience in WIPO/Madrid Protocol matters.
• Experience in Trademark Import & Export matters.
• Good legal drafting and documentation skills.
• Sound knowledge of Indian Trademark Law and Trademarks Registry procedures.
• Experience in handling domestic and/or international trademark portfolios.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and trademark/IP management systems.
