This on-site role is central to ensuring cases move forward efficiently, deadlines are met, and clients receive consistent, high-quality communication.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a professional who can operate with minimal oversight, produce accurate legal work, and confidently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

  • Proactively manage task lists to keep cases moving forward

Document Preparation

  • Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, subpoenas, and discovery
  • Prepare and e-file documents with courts at the county and state level

Client Communication

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients
  • Provide updates and respond to client inquiries within 24–48 hours
  • Assist clients in completing required forms and gathering documentation

Administrative Coordination

  • Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
  • Manage attorney calendars and coordinate logistics
  • Communicate with courts, clients, and opposing counsel

Trial Preparation

  • Assist attorneys with trial and hearing preparation
  • Organize exhibits, evidence, and trial notebooks
  • Coordinate witness logistics and support courtroom preparation

Performance Expectations

  • Maintain strong client communication with timely responses and no gaps in follow-up
  • Meet or exceed billable and productivity targets
  • Deliver highly accurate work with minimal corrections required
  • Ensure all court filings are error-free and submitted on time
  • Actively support attorneys and contribute to a collaborative team environment

Requirements:

  • Paralegal experience, preferably in family law
  • Strong experience with case management, legal drafting, and court filings
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism with clients
  • Experience with legal software such as Clio or similar case management systems preferred

Why Join Renier Hotopp Law Offices

  • High-impact role with ownership over case progress and client experience

  • Opportunity to work closely with attorneys on meaningful family law cases
  • Growth potential within a structured and performance-driven firm
