Rooted in teamwork, inclusion, expertise, and community, we work together to serve better, achieve more, and build lasting impact.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Vice President/General Counsel, the Paralegal provides critical legal operations support across contracts, regulatory compliance, litigation, and corporate governance. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to coordinate legal matters, manage documentation and filings, and ensure consistent execution of legal department processes. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

This is a hybrid role based in our Raleigh office, requiring a minimum of three days in office a week, with the expectation to be onsite up to four days per week depending upon team and business needs. Remote work is available on the remaining days.

Your WORK as a Paralegal will make a difference as you:

  • Provide legal and administrative support to the Vice President/General Counsel and internal business partners across the organization.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes, workflows, and administrative efficiency within the Legal department
  • Draft, review, and manage legal documents such as contracts, agreements, subpoenas, correspondence, and litigation-related filings under attorney supervision.
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research related to legal and compliance requirements; summarize findings for Legal leadership.
  • Maintain and manage legal document management systems, ensuring proper organization, retention, and confidentiality of records.
  • Assist with regulatory filings, licensing requirements, compliance tracking, and responses to regulatory inquiries across applicable jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate legal responses to audits, subpoenas, discovery requests, and other legal or regulatory processes.
  • Build, support, and manage a procurement process through a legal lens, including triaging requests before they move into vendor management, partnering on initial contract redlines, and preparing agreements and issue summaries for legal counsel review and final sign-off.
  • Monitor legal deadlines and ensure timely filings, submissions, and follow-ups.
  • Support corporate governance activities, including preparation and organization of board and committee materials, minutes, and related documentation, as needed.
  • Support corporate litigation and dispute resolution efforts, including maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, assisting with discovery responses, and coordinating with outside counsel.

Skills and Experience to Get the Job Done Right:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3+ years of paralegal or legal support experience, preferably in a corporate legal department, or an insurance, construction, or law office environment
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, processes, and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with legal document management systems, procurement workflows, and the Microsoft Office suite
