Personal Injury Paralegal – 12-Week Leave Coverage (Temp-to-Perm)

Crescent City Law is looking for an experienced personal injury paralegal to cover a planned leave of absence of approximately 12 weeks, starting around November 1. The firm is growing quickly, so this role has a real path to a permanent position. This is a chance to step into a busy practice and grow with it.

Compensation:

$25 - $30 hourly

Responsibilities:

What you’ll do

You’ll support our attorneys across the full life of personal injury cases, from intake through settlement or trial. That includes:

• gathering and organizing medical records and bills
• preparing demand packages
• tracking deadlines, including prescription dates
• drafting pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
• communicating with clients, adjusters, and medical providers
• helping prepare for depositions, mediations, and trial

Qualifications:

What we’re looking for

• At least 3 years of paralegal experience in personal injury, preferably plaintiff-side
• Familiarity with Louisiana civil procedure and court filing requirements, including Orleans Parish and surrounding parishes
• Experience with medical records requests, lien tracking, and settlement disbursement sheets
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage a high-volume caseload
• Clear, compassionate communication with clients who are often going through a hard time
• Proficiency with Clio and Google Workspace
• Paralegal certificate or degree preferred
