Paralegal

We are hiring a Paralegal for one of our clients in Hamilton, NJ .

Job Description

• Reviews OPG's intake policies and procedures related to the identification, referral, documentation, and sharing of information concerning potential OPG wards with the New Jersey Superior Court system and other external entities.
• Communicates with outside attorneys, court-appointed attorneys, social workers, hospitals, nursing facilities, and other service providers to obtain and exchange information concerning potential OPG wards and assist with the intake process.
• Coordinates and documents information received from courts, attorneys, healthcare facilities, social service providers, and other external entities to support the timely evaluation and processing of potential guardianship matters.
• Assists with docketing and tracking court hearings, deadlines, and other time-sensitive matters related to potential OPG wards.
• Collaborates with the unit supervisor and legal support team to identify areas for improvement in internal and external communication, information-sharing, documentation, and intake processes.
• Assists with data review, organization, reconciliation, and clean-up during and following the system transitions to support the accuracy and completeness of OPG records.
• Performs other related administrative duties as assigned.

Work Hours

• Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
• Lunch: Half Hour, unpaid.
