About Ling Law Group

Ling Law Group is seeking an experienced, highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Paralegal with a minimum of 2 years of professional paralegal experience to join our team.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative, works independently, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will support our attorney, manage case workflows, communicate with clients, and ensure legal matters progress efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with case preparation, legal research, and document drafting.
• Draft, review, organize, and file legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Maintain case files, track deadlines, and manage litigation calendars.
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties.
• Coordinate discovery, document production, and case-related requests.
• Assist with client intake, follow-ups, and collection of necessary documentation.
• Prepare case summaries, chronologies, and legal research materials.
• Monitor court deadlines and ensure compliance with applicable procedures.
• Maintain accurate case records and assist with administrative tasks.
• Proactively identify outstanding tasks and help keep cases moving forward.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional paralegal experience in a law firm — REQUIRED.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology, documentation, and court procedures.
• Experience drafting legal documents and managing case files.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple cases and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PDF software, and legal case management systems.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
• Must meet California paralegal qualification requirements under Business and Professions Code § 6450.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of paralegal experience.
• Experience with California state court filings and e-filing systems.
• Experience with litigation, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Familiarity with legal billing and case management software.
• Experience supporting a solo attorney or small law firm.
