About Griffith Law Office
At Griffith Law Office, our "North Star" is Zealous Protection, Minimal Trauma. Family law is high-stakes, but we reject the chaotic, frantic "scorched earth" approach that leaves families in ruins. Instead, we practice with a "Healing Through Justice" mindset—helping clients transition from trauma to a place of lasting peace and stability.
We operate under a standard of "Calm Intensity". Think of our office like a high-end surgical suite: quiet, deeply focused, and running on seamless, well-honed systems. We don’t do fire-drills, screaming down the halls, or missed deadlines. We provide our team with high challenge and high support, creating an environment where excellence is mentored, systems eliminate friction, and every team member thrives.
The Opportunity
We are expanding our Longview office and actively seeking an Experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our tight-knit, mission-driven team immediately.
In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with our attorneys to manage complex family law matters—including contested divorces, custody battles, modifications, and adoptions. You will not merely push paper; you will be an indispensable partner in case strategy, ensuring radical precision in our filings and serving as a calming, grounded presence for our clients.
What You’ll Do
Case Management & Drafting: Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, mediation statements, and proposed orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
Pre-Trial Preparation: Organize exhibits, prepare trial/hearing binders, calculate child support and financial inventories, and coordinate witness preparation.
Proactive Client Care: Deliver white-glove communication, keeping clients informed, supported, and grounded through difficult emotional transitions.
System Optimization: Maintain electronic case files where deadlines are consistently met days in advance.
Court Coordination: Coordinate court appearances, e-file in local and district courts, and maintain close communication with court coordinators, clerks, and opposing counsel.
What We’re Looking For
Proven Experience: Minimum 3-5+ years of substantive family law paralegal experience in Texas (experience in East Texas/Gregg County courts is a strong plus).
High Systems Orientation: Comfort with modern legal software (case management platforms, e-filing, Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat) and a commitment to standardized workflows.
Emotional Intelligence & Discretion: Ability to de-escalate emotional client moments and redirect focus toward practical, child-centered outcomes.
Uncompromising Standards: Pride in submitting clean, error-free work ahead of schedule.
Immediate Availability: Ready to step in and make a meaningful impact quickly.
Work Schedule & Hybrid Flexibility
Base Schedule: In-person Monday through Thursday at our Longview office, with every Friday working remotely from home.
Earned Autonomy: We value accountability and trust. As you establish your workflow, build rapport, and demonstrate autonomy, additional remote and flexible scheduling opportunities will expand with your tenure.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Highly competitive base salary negotiable based on direct experience.
We have a defined bonus structure based on billable time. You could earn $4,000+ per quarter in bonuses.
Benefits Package: Health, dental, and vision insurance; generous paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays; retirement/401(k) options.
Culture & Growth: Direct mentorship, ongoing professional development workshops, and a firm culture that values both high performance and personal well-being.
