Paralegal | Financial Services

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Financial Services Paralegal to join a growing team in Brisbane CBD.

This role will focus on secured mortgage recovery matters, acting on behalf of major banking clients from the initial notice through to enforcement and, where required, the sale of property.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Paralegal from a conveyancing, banking and finance, or property background looking to move into a specialised area of litigation. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity to build your knowledge across financial services and recoveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing secured mortgage recovery matters on behalf of banking clients
• Drafting notices, statements of claim and other legal documents
• Managing enforcement matters from initial notice through to resolution
• Assisting with mortgagee-in-possession conveyancing and property sales
• Liaising with banks, clients and stakeholders throughout the recovery process

Who Will Fit This Opportunity?

• 2+ years' experience as a Paralegal, ideally within conveyancing, property or banking & finance
• Banking team experience with exposure to notices or recovery matters highly regarded
• Experience drafting court documents is advantageous, but not essential
• Happy to speak with career paralegals or students with 2 years+ left of degree
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Confident communication skills and ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders
• A proactive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn
