Paralegal- Social Security & Disability

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal specializing in Social Security and Disability law to join our dynamic legal team. Duties

• Assist attorneys with preparing and reviewing Social Security Disability claims, including drafting legal documents, summaries, and client correspondence
• Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research tools to support case development
• Manage case files efficiently using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date
• Interview clients to gather detailed information about their disability claims, medical history, and supporting documentation
• Review medical records, administrative hearing transcripts, and other relevant documents for case analysis
• Draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and clarity while maintaining confidentiality standards
• Coordinate with clients, medical providers, and government agencies to facilitate case progress and gather necessary evidence
• Support attorneys in preparing for hearings by organizing exhibits, timelines, and case materials
• Maintain organized workflows through project management tools to meet deadlines and optimize case outcomes

Requirements

• Paralegal certification or equivalent legal support experience with a focus on Social Security & Disability law
• Proven experience in handling personal injury cases or workers' compensation law is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of procedural law related to disability claims and administrative hearings
• Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and relevant case management software including iManage and PCLaw
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional written communication skills for drafting reports, legal documents, and client correspondence
• Effective interviewing skills to gather detailed client information sensitively and professionally
• Familiarity with UCC law, estate planning, environmental law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, securities law, family law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law or general litigation is a plus but not required
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with document review and proofreading capabilities
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining high ethical standards
• Excellent phone etiquette combined with professional client communication skills

Pay: $62,000.00 - $67,500.00 per year
