Pella is now hiring an Occupational Health Specialist to join our team!

• Hours: Monday through Thursday- 3pm-1am

This position requires current NREMT certification and any State licensing requirement for Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic. In this role you’ll provide medical assessment, intervention, and evaluation for occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries. Manage on-going care of team members. Conduct required screen/testing. Provide preventative care and resource support for medical related needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain EMT or Paramedic certifications and license.

• Manage direct care of work related and non-work related injured or ill team members.

• Provide case management of Workers' Compensation claims. Provide support for Workers’ Compensation hearings as needed.

• Conduct hearing tests.

• Administer vaccination programs to include Tetanus and Hepatitis.

• Facilitate physician job site visits and Functional Capacity Examinations.

• Responsible for timely and accurate charting of all care provided, into team member health record/file.

• Conduct job assessments within manufacturing and office environments. Provide risk analysis and offer risk reduction solutions.

• Responsible for OSHA compliance and recordkeeping within scope of responsibility.

• Maintain Health and Safety Information systems. Input health information and treatment plans into appropriate HSI Systems in a timely and accurate manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

EMT or Paramedic: NREMT certification and any State licensing requirement to be certified as an Emergency Medical Technician. Minimum of three years EMT or Paramedic experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Current NREMT certification and any State required license/certificate required for EMT or Paramedic.
