Paramedic

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our team. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in various settings. Your main goal will be to assess patients' conditions, administer appropriate medical treatment, and transport them safely to medical facilities. We are a 911 only service with an average call volume of 350 annually.

Responsibilities:

-Work as needed to support schedule openings.  
- Respond to emergency calls and provide immediate medical care to patients  
- Assess patients' conditions and determine the appropriate course of treatment  
- Administer medications, perform basic life support procedures, and monitor vital signs  
- Conduct physical examinations and obtain patient medical history  
- Perform venipuncture and administer intravenous medications as needed  
- Use aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures  
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care  
- Drive an ambulance or other emergency vehicle to transport patients to medical facilities  
- Triage patients based on the severity of their condition  
- Document all patient interactions and treatment provided accurately and thoroughly

Experience:  
- Previous experience working as a Paramedic or in a similar role is required  
- Strong knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and procedures  
- Proficiency in performing advanced life support techniques  
- Familiarity with medical equipment and devices used in emergency situations  
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations  
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

-Emergency Vehicle Operator Course

-Ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT)

Skills:  
- Proficient in assessing vital signs accurately  
- Skilled in performing basic life support procedures  
- Competent in venipuncture techniques for blood draws and medication administration  
- Knowledgeable in providing comprehensive patient care in various settings  
- Capable of conducting physical examinations effectively and efficiently  
- Familiarity with aseptic technique to prevent infection during procedures  
- Strong driving skills for safe transportation of patients to medical facilities  
- Ability to triage patients based on the severity of their condition  
- Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) used in emergency situations
