Paramedic Full Time – Nights

Department:

Emergency Department

Days and Shifts:

• Full-time position
• Works 36 hours and paid for 40
• Three 12-hour shifts per week from 6 PM – 6 AM
• On-call opposite 12 hours worked
• Works every sixth weekend Saturday and Sunday from 6 PM – 6 AM

Description:

• Acts as a first-unit ambulance response person
• Performs requested functions in emergency room, lab and respiratory care procedures
• Participates in second unit call, as well as other duties as assigned

Requirements Educational/Experience:

• Current paramedic license in the State of Iowa
• Chauffeur License
• Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification required within 6 months of hire
• Documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• ACLS, Healthcare Provider BLS
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well
