Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the optometric practice by assisting with patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This position requires a blend of technical skills and interpersonal abilities to provide exceptional service to our patients.

Duties

• Assist optometrists in conducting eye examinations and various diagnostic tests.
• Prepare patients for exams by obtaining medical histories and performing preliminary tests.
• Operate and maintain optometric equipment, ensuring it is clean and functioning properly.
• Educate patients on proper contact lens care, eyewear options, and post-examination procedures.
• Manage patient records, including scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with the optometric team to ensure efficient workflow within the clinic.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an optometric technician or in a related healthcare field is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• A commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
