About the Role

A Technical Paraplanning Role within a growing local business. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced paraplanner who enjoys technical research, report writing and contributing to positive client outcomes as part of a collaborative and professional team.

  • Prepare suitability reports, recommendation letters and supporting documentation.
  • Assist advisers in developing appropriate planning strategies to meet client objectives.
  • Analyse pension, investment and protection arrangements.
  • Undertake cashflow modelling and retirement planning analysis.
  • Ensure all recommendations are supported by robust research and compliant documentation.
  • Liaise with advisers, providers and administrative staff to ensure cases progress efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Keep up to date with legislative, taxation and technical developments affecting financial planning.
  • Support the firm's commitment to delivering high-quality client outcomes.
  • Follow internal compliance procedures and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of paraplanning processes and standards.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4) qualified or working towards completion.

Required Skills

  • Previous experience in a Paraplanner role within a financial planning firm.
  • Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, protection and retirement planning.
  • Experience preparing suitability reports and conducting product research.
  • Excellent report-writing and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage workloads effectively and prioritise deadlines.
  • Professional, ethical and client-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Ongoing training, development and support towards further qualifications.
  • Career progression opportunities to Financial Adviser within a growing business, should you wish.

Pay range and compensation package

  • Up to £55,000 salary, dependent on experience.

This role would suit a technically minded paraplanner who is passionate about delivering outstanding client outcomes and wants to join a business where professionalism, accuracy and high-quality financial planning are genuinely valued. The firm is committed to a professional, ethical and client-focused culture and supports ongoing training, development and progression opportunities for all employees.
