About Us
Redwood Financial is a family-owned financial and estate planning business. We build lasting relationships with clients and aim to make complex decisions feel clear and manageable. Our values of Trust, Pride and Passion guide both the advice we give and the way we work with each other.
Until now, we have worked with an external paraplanning provider. We are bringing this work in-house so our paraplanner can work more closely with our advisers and CRMs, help develop the team’s knowledge, and strengthen the quality and consistency of the advice we deliver to clients.
Our clients are our priority, and we believe every interaction should leave a positive and lasting impression. Guided by our Core Values — Trust, Pride & Passion — we aim to deliver a service that is personal, professional, and genuinely memorable.
The role
· Research and compare planning options, products and providers across pensions, investments, inheritance tax (IHT), protection and equity release, clearly documenting your findings and rationale.
· Prepare clear, accurate suitability reports and supporting calculations based on each client’s circumstances and the adviser’s recommendations.
· Review fact finds, existing arrangements and third-party information; spot gaps and raise questions with the adviser before a case progresses.
· Work collaboratively with advisers and CRMs to manage handovers, priorities and deadlines. You will have administrative support for cases, allowing you to focus on the technical work.
· Help improve the quality and consistency of our reports and processes, sharing your expertise with colleagues.
There is scope to develop into compliance work if that interests you. It is an option for the right person, rather than an expectation of the role.
About you
· You hold a Level 4 Diploma in financial planning, or an equivalent qualification, and have around five years’ relevant experience with investment and pension cases.
· You think methodically, pay close attention to detail and can explain technical matters in straightforward language.
· You take ownership of your work, ask questions when something does not add up and welcome a constructive discussion about the best outcome for a client.
· You enjoy working as part of a team and communicate clearly with the people who depend on your work.
You may already be Chartered or be working towards Chartered status, but neither is essential. We are equally interested in someone who wants to deepen their expertise as a paraplanner.
What we offer
· A salary of £47,000–£55,000, depending on your qualifications and relevant experience.
· Monday to Friday, 9.00 am–5.00 pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break (35 hours per week), based full time at our Whiteley office. Free on-site parking is available.
· A generous holiday package, plus a birthday day off and two additional family days. Leave increases from the January following your first year of service.
· We will cover the cost of relevant professional membership, such as the Personal Finance Society, and support your ongoing CPD.
· Regular team activities, a summer BBQ and Christmas party, and complimentary refreshments and snacks.
· Christmas and work anniversary gifts; a free Will and Lasting Powers of Attorney for you and, where applicable, your spouse (registration fees excluded); and discounted financial and estate planning work for friends and family.
If you have got this far and are still interested, please hit apply, we’d love to hear from you!
