Header: Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers in delivering instructional activities aligned with curriculum standards such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) to promote student achievement.
• Support students with literacy education, math skills, and other core subjects through one-on-one or small group instruction tailored to individual needs.
• Implement classroom behavior management strategies to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and other school-related events to ensure safety and positive social interactions.
• Collaborate with teachers on lesson planning, instructional modifications, and assessment strategies to support diverse learners including those with disabilities or autism.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities to foster strong home-school connections.
• Utilize educational technologies and computers effectively to enhance learning experiences for students of varying abilities.
• Maintain compliance with educational regulations and policies while ensuring a supportive environment that promotes childhood development and emotional well-being.

Header: Experience

• Prior experience working with children in educational settings or childcare environments is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills and experience implementing behavior management techniques.
• Knowledge of special education practices, including working with students with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
• Familiarity with early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and support staff.
• Experience using educational technologies and computers for instructional purposes.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is appreciated.
• Previous experience in private schools or settings serving diverse student populations is a plus.

Pay: $15.45 - $21.70 per hour
