Paraprofessional - Long Term Sub

This position requires assisting teachers in the classroom with a wide range of student need*, both academic and behavioral. The individual must have the ability to collaborate with teachers regarding student progress academically and provide individualized instruction. Teaching and Learning

• Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of special education and classroom teachers
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans for the students and monitor their progress
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with staff and students
• Flexibility to adjust to different issues with students
• Ability to assist and help students with their academic and non-academic issues to enable them to fully participate in learning
• Assist students in developing appropriate social skills*Note: This position may include assisting with toileting of student(s).
