Paraprofessional Tutor (PPT)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional Tutor to provide academic support and guidance to students who need a little extra help to thrive. Join our team and make a meaningful difference every day!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group academic support in core subjects (e.g., reading, math, writing)
• Assist students with classwork, homework, and reinforcing skills taught by the classroom teacher
• Support students’ academic and behavioral growth under the direction of general and special education teachers
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement individualized instructional strategies
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to instructional staff
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass background and reference checks

Preferred candidates may also have:

• At least 48 semester credits of 100-level or higher coursework from a regionally accredited institution, including a minimum of 3 credits each in math and English, an Associate’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution, a passing score of 459 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow teacher direction and school protocols
• Experience working with diverse learners, including students with IEPs or English language learners
• Familiarity with academic intervention programs or classroom technology

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday:

7:45 AM – 11:30 AM or 10:30 AM – 2:15 PM

• Wednesday:

7:45 AM – 11:45 AM or 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Note: Candidates may be assigned to either morning or midday shifts based on school needs and availability.

• Selected candidates will be asked to complete a background check, meet immunization requirements, and participate in a brief screening interview.
