Job Summary

Joining a dynamic logistics team as a Parcel Sorter, where my energy and attention to detail will keep our distribution center running smoothly. In this vital role, i will be responsible for efficiently sorting, loading, and unloading parcels to ensure timely delivery and optimal warehouse operations. Your mechanical aptitude and materials handling skills will contribute to a fast-paced environment that values safety, accuracy, and teamwork. Responsibilities

• Sort incoming parcels accurately according to destination and size, utilizing warehouse management systems for tracking and organization.
• Load and unload shipments using forklifts and other materials handling equipment, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods.
• Operate forklifts safely to transport heavy packages within the warehouse, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipment contents, preparing parcels for dispatch, and documenting movements in the system.
• Conduct routine mechanical inspections of equipment such as forklifts to maintain operational safety and efficiency.
• Support warehouse management by maintaining organized storage areas, ensuring materials are stored securely and accessible for quick retrieval.
• Collaborate with team members on construction or maintenance tasks when needed to improve workflow or safety measures.

Experience

• Previous warehouse experience preferred, with familiarity in materials handling and shipping & receiving operations.
• Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is a plus, especially related to equipment maintenance or troubleshooting.
• Experience operating forklifts or similar heavy machinery is highly desirable; certification is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software is advantageous.

Pay: £12.71-£17.50 per hour
