Parent Navigator

We are seeking a Parent Navigator to join our Child & Family Services team. This rewarding role provides direct support, advocacy, and guidance to families throughout the Greater New Haven area, helping them navigate community resources, strengthen natural supports, and build pathways to success. This position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

What You'll Do

As a Parent Navigator, you will serve as a trusted partner to families, helping them identify strengths, access resources, and advocate for their needs within various service systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Build supportive relationships with children, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with Family Support Specialists, families, and other community supports.
• Assist families in accessing community resources and services throughout the Greater New Haven area.
• Help develop strength-based, family-driven plans of care.
• Advocate for children and families across educational, healthcare, and community service systems.
• Educate, mentor, and empower families to become active participants in their own care plans.
• Transport clients when necessary and perform community-based outreach.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of experience working with families.
• Knowledge of community resources and social service systems.
• Strong communication, engagement, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends based on family needs.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish-English skills.
• Experience working within family support, behavioral health, child welfare, education, or community-based services.
• Familiarity with strength-based and family-centered approaches to care.

What We Offer

The anticipated salary range for this position is $20-$23. Actual compensation offered will be determined based on a variety of factors including relevant skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, and internal equity considerations.
