Parish Priest

Provide Stability: The Parish Priest, working with the Vestry, will provide the leadership necessary to maintain a stable and mission minded Anglican congregation.

• Liturgical Leadership and Support: Work with the Vestry and other lay readers to maintain the regular schedule of worship services and preaching, education, pastoral care, and pastoral offices (weddings, funerals, and baptisms), while increasing the flexibility and resiliency of the parish in liturgy and music, by offering opportunities to experience different forms and styles of worship.

• Manage and support other staff with the worship calendar and liturgical planning for worship.

• Pastoral care: Call upon the sick and shut-in, visit newcomers, and ongoing administration of the parish, while increasing the parish’s commitment to pastoral care by lay members.

• Supervise all parish staff in the exercise of their responsibilities and ministries, for which they shall be accountable to the Parish Priest.

• Plan and supervise the mission and outreach programs of the parish and organize regular prayer meetings, prayer vigils, outdoor outreach programs with the community.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

• St. John's, NL A1C 6N4: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)

Education:

• AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

• performing rites and rituals in your faith's tradition: 5 years (preferred)
• Relevant: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Ordination Certificate (required)
