Job Summary

Columbus & Franklin County Metro Parks is seeking a responsible and community-focused Park Ranger to help protect park resources, assist visitors, support public safety, and maintain a welcoming environment throughout the park system.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned park areas and facilities.
• Provide information and assistance to park visitors.
• Monitor park conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Help enforce park rules and regulations.
• Respond appropriately to visitor questions and incidents.
• Assist with educational, recreational, and community programs.
• Complete routine reports and maintain accurate records.
• Support emergency response and public safety procedures.
• Work cooperatively with park staff and local agencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to visitor service and park stewardship.
