Park Ranger | Remote

Position: National Park Ranger

Type: Contract

Compensation: $50 - $150/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

• Review sample national park questions and flag any that don t sound like what real visitors ask.
• Write rubrics that define a correct, complete answer on park passes, entrance fees, permits, and reservations.
• Cover park regulations, visitor safety, and trip planning questions in your rubrics.
• Evaluate AI-generated answers against your rubrics, flagging errors, omissions, and outdated guidance.
• Share clear written feedback with the project team, working asynchronously.

Requirements

• Current, former, or seasonal National Park Service experience (park ranger, interpretive ranger, or visitor services staff).
• Have strong relevant experience answering visitor questions or working with passes, permits, reservations, or fees.
• Working knowledge of park regulations and visitor safety.
• Clear, precise writing.
