You will safeguard a 1,120-acre historic estate, assist visitors with professionalism and courtesy, and ensure that every guest experience is both secure and memorable.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Open and close buildings as required by daily schedule or upon request of authorized persons.
• Monitor fire, burglar, and panic alarms.
• Respond to alarms, and arm and disarm buildings as required by daily schedule or upon request of authorized personnel.
• Conduct rounds and patrol areas as directed.
• Monitor buildings, grounds and pathways for theft, fire, damage, or safety issues.
• Control access to museum buildings, museum collection areas and grounds.
• Respond, investigate, and report on accidents and injuries incurred on The Hermitage property as directed by the Chief of Security.
• Provide special event traffic control, crowd control, and parking assistance as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Tennessee driver’s license
• Current or ability to obtain Tennessee Armed Security Officer certification (training available)
• Ability to maintain firearm qualifications and certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED
• Basic computer skills for alarm and reporting systems
